Fire fighting lift pumps (or feed pumps) are used for bringing water from the main water supply towards to main booster pump. This water supply can be an open body of water like a river or a sea. These pumps are also used to supply water from an artificial lake or tank. The characteristic of these pumps are relative low pressure and high capacity. These pumps are hydraulic driven which makes the pumps easy to handle because of their relatively light weight. When these pumps are mounted only a light pump foundation is needed.
These pumps are mostly used in combination with a hydraulic power pack and a booster pump. Another commonly used application is in mobile fire fighting trucks. We supplye thes pump in a wide capacity range: 90, 180, 300, 600, 900, 1200, 2400, 3600 m3/h.
When powered by a hydraulic power pack compliance with NFPA20 requirements is possible.
Fire fighting lift pumps are mostly supplied complete with diesel or electric driven power packs with booster pumps.
